Indirect- Going away,shut it off?

in Domestic Hot Water

I have an Weil-McClain CGa3 and indirect dhw. Planning to go away for 2 months. I'm guessing I should shut the system down?

Thoughts?

    in the summer, yes. in the winter the answer is more complicated.

    IN THE SUMMER YES, IN THE WINTER THE ANSWER IS MORE COMPLICATED.

    After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

    I suppose could turn the indirect dhw off via the SR in the winter. But we don't tend to go away for more than a few days at a time .I like the snow!

    Your right about "getting over it" For me it was Ice skating I had a pond within a short walking distance from my house. I would sit in school looking out the window wondering what shape the ice was in. Couldn't wait to get home to grab my skates as soon as school was out. I would miss dinner and get home around 8:00.

    Caught a lot of flak because I should have been doing homework…….and my report card showed it.

    Then my father and my sister who was a teacher would make my life miserable LOL
