Thinking about purchasing this for sub 1300sf slab on grade home. Anyone have experience with this make?

Hello and welcome. I don’t have any experience with that brand. I’m sure it will operate fine when installed correctly with proper attention to air ducting and etc…
Depending on location and budget however I would reconsider your approach for that type of home. If you haven’t already poured you slab, I would suggest radiant hot water, ductless split heat pumps for your ac/shoulder season heating. Good luck!

That would have been my preference but there’s already 648 sf of concrete already as it was an existing apartment…

it never hurts to do a heat and cooling load calc. New tight homes can be in the teens for btu/ sq ft in the heating side
15 btu/ ft X 1300 sq ft is around a 20,000 btu/ hr load
Oversized equipment is one of the most common issues we see at HH.
Even worse on the cooling side where it may not run long enough to dehumidify. A cold, clammy home is no fun 🫣

500 Sq Ft per ton is old old school
a proper manual J room heat load loss must be done.
Then you need a manual D Duct design0 -

Thanks for the comments. Heat load calculations will definitely be done prior to purchasing anything along with a blower door test.
As this will be my first HVAC install, would placement in the center of the structure or towards the perimeter be best? My thought is to place unit/return, water tank and ERV all in the same space.

Who's installing this equipment?
Few legitimate contractors will touch online purchases.

I was planning on DIY’ing it. Grandfather was a plumber so I’m familiar with gas/propane/plumbing etc.

Certified for handling refrigerants?
Who's doing the manual "J" "D" "S" if there not getting the work?

There’s a guy that I’ll hire to design the layout who has retired from HVAC work/design after working too many years in the trade.
I will have to hire someone for the refrigerants.
