Hi All, have a Carrier communicating furnace (2 comms wires, 2 power wires) no traditional thermostat wiring. Trying to interlock condensate pump. Typically would "break" Y1 with condensate pump or W1 (for heating). With 2 comms wires and 2 power wires (no Y1 or W1) wanted to find out best approach? TY

You use the G terminal for safety switches. It's in the installation instructions under "G terminal Input".

with 2 wire communicating systems eathervwire will shut it down.
please read the IOM for your equipment before hooking up anything.

Completely forgot about the G terminal (and that it is off by default at the controller). You folks rock. TY

Yes, between R and G it is "configurable" thru the wall controller to be NO, NC, Just alert, turn the fan on or shut down. By default the G terminal is "off" from the factory. I am so accustomed to either breaking Y1 or W1 (depending), I completely forgot about the G terminal option. The advantage of using it this way is it leaves an error log to aid in troubleshooting.
