    Horrible! Rest in Peace. Those NYCHA housing projects are huge and have miles of 65-70 year old gas piping in them. Shut downs are a nightmare. I have alot of friends that are plumbers for NYCHA and they take gas work and repairs very seriously. No one touches anything on gas, that isn't competent and certified in NYCHA, unlike privately-owned buildings and housing project.

    NYC D.O.B inspectors dont play either with gas, so I'll wait to see what was inspected, et cetera. Mad Dog

    Sad that anyone died or was injured but with the size of the building and the damage it is lucky more lives were not lost.
