Prestige Solo 110 external limit open whenever power goes out
Hello. I am new to this group. I have a prestige solo 110 that was installed in 2018 and had the Recall2Repair work done to it about 2 months ago. Unfortunately, since TT closed its doors on 11/3/25, I cannot contact them about this. This has happened twice now and I am trying to figure out what could be the cause and fix. We have had extremely quick power off/on at the townhome, in milliseconds. So quick that the digital clock on our stove isn't affected, but the digital alarm clock next to the bed is. The solo 110 goes into lockout with this message on the screen: External Limit Open - An external manual reset limit has opened. Correct condition which caused limit to open. If problem persists after two reset attempts, call for service. Press OK to reset. E87 Any ideas where to start? Appreciate any help.

Start by looking to see if you do indeed have an external limit attached to the boiler. Luckily if you do have one, this will have very little to do with the boiler itself as it will be a 3rd party device.

Electrician and/or the Electric power utility company. The AC electrical power should not do that on/off/on thing, get that repaired and by your description the boiler and alarm clock issue will go away.
If the whole house is experiencing the millisecond dropouts it may be a utility issue. Neighbors experiencing it also ???
Repair the actual problem not the symptoms.
