Air valve black stuff coming
Hello,
I got a new boiler install last week and I am getting a lot of problems. Here is the first problem. I keep getting black oil like thing coming out of my radiator and also the gauge sight glass is black. Is that oil? Reading this forum, I see some folks have mentioned no skimming was done. ? Does this need skimming? Plumber didn't install one and also said no main vent needed.

I figured this was it. I had to fire the plumber. Looking for a new one. He connected the pipes but now boiler has all kinds of problems.

Thanks.
Now my other problem is my vent damper is spinning but makes cracking sound as it turns. Very loud. Non stop. Only stops when heating is on but then continues to spin and makes the noise. I replaced and got a new but same issue. This was the same plumber.
Also he didn't put in this round thing in the vent. Said he don't what that is. I read the book and it says for direct ignition boilers and that's what I have. Gas. Williamson 125btu.

The flue pipe isn't even properly connected to the damper.
