Rinnai ru199in dedicated return line?
Installed a Rinnai RU199in about 2 years ago. In hindsight I wish I was steered to an RUR unit with a built in recirc pump. My issue is the delay in getting hot water first thing in the morning especially. Is there an efficient way to overcome that delay with the unit I currently have?
Can I effectively install a recirc pump and add a return line from a crossover thermal valve? And if so a detailed description would be greatly appreciated.

Check if your unit has the built in controls for a pump, most do. You can also use an external controls that is either demand or timer controlled. The one you can't do is constant circulation.
How to wire and plumb it up:
Dedicated return is always the best. Doesn't have to be big, a 3/8 pex return line works just fine.

Good advice Kaos. I did not know such a Grudfos device existed… compatible with a Rinnai on-demand unit!
