Cleaning my Woodshop furnace

I Would like to do a though cleaning of my f/a furnace in my shop. I do have a dust collection system but still have airborne wood dust. Wondering how to best clean the heat exchanger? Was thinking to use a leaf blower blowing up through the return air and capture everything that makes it out wit a shop vac. There is no ductwork as it just has a supply that "dumps" heat into the shop.

So thoughts?

    do you have a good filter on it, change it regularly?

    I would say a blast from the blower or air hose would be an option

    Is performance dropping iff?

    I would be more concerned with wood dust in the burners and controls and inducer (fire side) rather than the air side. Remove the burners and blow them out. Clean inducer.

    If it has been a while I would probably pull out the blower assembly and then vacuum and blow out with air.
