Losing confidence in Uponor. How often do you find defects like this in rolls of Uponor PEX?
I'm starting to loose confidence in Uponor. They don't manage their vendors well (trying to sell HePEX that has had it's barrier all scratched up or had ends driven over), they don't ensure consistent pricing (a local supply house that I don't frequent and don't have an account with charged me almost $3 per 1" pex ring (Ferguson and Supplyhouse are just over $1), recent history of issues/failures with ProPex, and now defects in rolls of material that should have clearly been caught by quality control. They will probably tell me to re-work what I've already installed off the roll. And of course they'll be happy to give me new material to reinstall.
How often do you get a bad roll of HePex like this?
Extra bulging/drippy material, gouges, and other anomalies. I don't know how material like this can get out the door of the factory. In this day and age, I can't imagine it's too difficult to setup a camera on each side of the tubing and have AI inspect and notify of defects.

Rehau is far superior IMO.
If you take a two foot length of each one and intentionally keep bending it in the middle, the Uponor will break long before the Rehau.
I’ve also seen demonstrations of several different types/brands tested under pressure and the Uponor blew out before some of the cheaper type B pex.
