LP boiler Shuts off completely after reaching room temp
I have a burham p-204-w lp boiler(1983) that shuts off completely after it reaches operating temperature. No pilot, nothing. Relight the pilot And receives call to heat, fires up, water circulates, room reaches temp and then shuts off completely again. Called service and replaced the gas valve. Worked for a day then same result. Service guy stumped. Hearing it could be the aquastat. The Honeywell L8148E 1166 is no longer available(old). So I'm looking for a solid replacement for this aquastat. Photo Attached.
Thanks for any direction

I wouldn't replace it by shooting the parts cannon. What happens if you replace it and that doesn't fix it? If you have a standing pilot you have to light with a match or lighter, do you??
If you do I doubt the aqua stat is your problem. Post some pictures you probably have a bad thermocouple. The pilot once lit should stay lit

or a problem with the gas pressure or a problem with the burner being clogged or positioning or maybe a draft problem. the gas valve would be near the bottom of my list.

Gas pressure is good adjusted to optimal pressure. Replaced thermocouple . Pilot stays on. System only shuts off completely after reaching opperating (180°) temp. Watched service tech adjust manifold to 10psi and helped call out the numbers for gas supply pressure, set at 12. Pilot has good color. Burners have good color. Head scratcher.

I Light the pilot with a flame.

i'm not talking about the regulator settings, i'm talking about what actually happens to the pressure especially on he input side dynamically as the burner and other appliances turn on and off and especially if it is lp after it has been drawing down the tank for a while.

can you show a picture of the gas train? is it a combination valve or separate components?
er, i guess if it is 1983 it is a combination valve. some of that wiring looked much older.

Pressure while opperating was steady around 10.2 no real fluctuations

Do you have any other appliances running propane? Any problems with those? With propane you have a reg at the tank and one outside the house. I would check the vent connections on those regs for dirt spiders etc. If the reg can't breathe it cant regulate.
Also, don't know how cold it has been where you live but you could have a little moisture inside one of the outdoor regulators that can freeze and make the regulator stick

Picture of front of furnace is with the old valve. New vavle is what
they replaced it with Pulled all tubes and cleaned them.
I have a water heater and stove that both work fine.

So I guess it was as simple as checking water level in the system. It was just low enough that Aquastat reaching high temp limit and safety shutting off the system. Heat has stayed on for a couple days now. "Praise Jesus".
Thanks for your insight

Thanks for the input, I'm at a loss because it's still working. The best view I can give you to the electric side of things
