Oil Water Heater for Disabled Couple on Long Island
Hi, I am trying to help a disabled elderly couple on Long Island in Nassau County. Their oil based water heater has failed and they need it replaced asap. Is there a good yet fairly price plumber who could help them asap?

Last I asked them, you can only apply when the season starts and water heaters are not covered, only what heats the home. Did they misinform me?

In the land of nearly reasonable electric rates….(thinking LI not so)…..an electric WH would seem good for an elderly couple.

you can spend an extra $50/year on hot water for quite a while before you make up the cost difference between an electric and oil water heater, especially when you add in annual oil burner maintenance.

I agree an electric WH may be the best choice here as long as they have the power available.
would cost far less to install, @ 40gallon would be more than enough for two people, less service too.
