Will I have to drain my system to replace the section of leaking pipe between the supply valve and what i think is a pressure reducing valve? And what is the red gizmoe after the PRV?

is there a valve to the right if the two red valves? You need to isolate both sides.
The red valve on the right is a pressure relief valve. If you have one on the boiler you do not need that
You should however have a backflow preventer at the fill valve
And if you do need to drain down, replace the relief valve on the boiler
Buy a combination fill/ BFD
