Hvac issue

Hi everyone

I am facing a very strange issue with our HRV(Fantec hero). Everytime we use air exhaust fan in washroom , right after it finishes its cycle we see bunch of mosquitoes coming from the air vent. I checked the HRV and there were bunch of them flying in the unit. They are not getting trapped in HRV prefilters. I did cleaned the core filter.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is there stagnant water in the vicinity where they are breeding ? Screens or filters not installed correctly or missing so they are getting in.

Is the drain connected? Is it draining?

The bath exhaust is a seperate appliance from the HRV, or the intake on the HRV is the exhaust for the bath?

@109A_5 The pre filters are installed in proper directions. I dont see any water pockets in the unit, not sure about the duct. Few days back when I cleaned the core filter we did not use the exhaust fan that day and nothing came out from the air vent. The moment I installed the filter back and turned on the exhaust fan they started coming back in again.

@HVACNUT The drain pipe is connected to the HRV. The bath exhaust is not a separate fan , the HRV( Fantech 250 H hero series) serves as the central exhaust fan for all 3 washrooms. But this issue pertains to master bedroom washroom only.

Is this a HERS rated house? I've never heard of using an HRV as bath exhaust. They're either ducted to the living space, or ducted to the HVAC system. The normal practice is, if no HRV, then bath exhausts on timers to get the air exchanges. And this is one HRV serving three bathrooms, or each bathroom has its own HRV?
