Trane xv18 communicating
Unit shows no error codes. On stat or indoor or outdoor display. No error history. Unit starts runs for 30ish seconds. All motors, compressor, start. Pressures start to drop than outdoor display blinks like crazy. For 5-10 seconds says soft lockout on outdoor display. Than says standby. 3 minute delay and tries again

Any insight is appreciated. These are usually very easy units to diagnose.

I don't see anything in the manual that matches those symptoms. So I would start by verifying the power to the unit is correct and all connections are secure.
I'm assuming it is an XV18 your other post states XV8, do you have the long model number ?

Refrigerant suction pressure starts to drop. Gets to about 200 psi before unit cuts off... can't confirm as unit doest run long enough but static pressures dont appear low.

Check the unit low voltage wiring carefully for shorts, & especially check the contactor for a shorted turn. Sounds like something's dragging the 24 volts down until the microprocessor is starved for electrons. It starts to run, but as soon as it energizes something, the low voltage gets grounded & the transformer is overwhelmed. Find out what that something is.

@Brutis, welcome to Heating Help! I've merged your duplicate posts into one here to prevent confusion. Thanks.

200 psig for 410a is 70 f so that isn't unusual for a system coming down from ambient. what is happening on the discharge side? It sounds more like an electrical/electrical control problem but if the high side is doing something weird that could be a clue. something could be clogged or stuck or it could have noncondensables or something like that.

I kind of agree with @ratio but for other reasons. If there are any switching power supplies and/or variable speed motors that run from a switched DC Bus the capacitor(s) could be failing. As loads are activated or the compressor and/or condenser fan load increases at some point the faded power supply capacity causes the behavior seen.
