Forgive my ignorance but isn't the boiler set at a single specific temperature to provide both space heating and DHW which means it can't be lowered?

I'm married so I don't want my wife complaining about too little hot water. 😂

Often the boiler goes to dhw priority and a higher temperature, it depends on the boiler control you have.

If so set the boiler temperature as low as it will go and provide adequate DHW, it may be a trial and error.

Turbomax has a software program that calculated dhw output based on incoming water temperature and production desired. Their reps may have access to it, certainly the factory does.

The model number is tank size, and number of coils. More coils more HX surface, more performance. But more boiler BTU required also.

Also those charts will be for some delta t of the hot water. If you are in a cold place with municipal water that is around 35 f in the winter their charts probably aren't for the 90 f or so delta t you have.

How do I tell what boiler control I have? Please me know if you need see a more closeup pic of my boiler.

The reason I gave my family size and bathrooms is because of that chart in Turbomax literature. I'm not understanding what "required power output" in BTU/H means on that chart. Is that the the power output required from the boiler? Please forgive my ignorance.

I'm on Long Island, NY just outside Queens so it does get cold here in the winter.
