Foundation foam insulation/ trim detail

I adding onto my shop. I spent the week digging, pouring a footing and foundation for the small addition.

The 2" foam around the foundation wall will get this Z flashing over the edge and down to the grade.

I have a flashing break and built these with coated aluminum stock.

Companies that supply metal building siding will build flashings like this also. Usually up to 10' long.

My first time using one of these U Haul concrete trailers, I was able to back right to the pour. Still a lot of work moving 2 yards of concrete!

Hi, I like seeing all of that foam. There will never be a better time to insulate it than now. 👍️

x2 on the insulation comment. . However, if I am seeing the detail correctly, you are creating a perfectly insulated and protected path for termites to get into the wood framing.

Any time I use foam around a foundation like this, I have pest treatment people treat the area.

I had plenty of experience with termites and ants getting into foam when I worked in Missouri.

They need food and water, so keeping a good drainage away from the building helps keeps the bugs away also.
