Has anyone ever mixed existing copper lines with oxygen pex on a boiler feed and return?

If you did is the pressure the same?

thanks

you mean oxygen barrier pex? look at the id of the pex and the copper. the nominal sizes aren't the same especially in larger sizes. you need to use more like 1" pex to get the same id as 3/4" copper pipe. also pex that large gets very hard to work with unless you buy it in straight sections and use fittings like it were copper.

so its oxygen barrier orange pex. I was tring to ask if I could run a 1 inch oxygen barrier pex for a 10 foot section of boiler feed and or boiler return pipe instead of copper.

Hot water, I presume? Well… see the above comments for sizing. There are two other considerations: both lines will need to be well supported, preferably in a trough, as PEX gets flexible at higher temperatures and, if not supported, will sag. Also, there is a definite high temperature limit. You won't likely reach the rated temperature — typically around 100 F — but it's something to consider…
