What type (part #) of HONEYWELL zone valve do I have? They are 25 years old.

    Look like standard V8043 zone valves.

    The valve has a inverted flair pipe connection . Normally you would fine them on baseboard mounted locations as in apartment buildings . I replaced a few … Erie, Flair ??

    I don't see the need for removing the valve body with Honeywells , the powerhead , motor and valve workings are replaceable …

    The zone valve motor quit. I replaced it with a used motor I had laying around and got it working again. I have 3 more valves in use that are just as old, so I want to be prepared for when they fail.

    Stocking a replacement powerhead would be a good idea, covers you for a bad end switch , gearing and motor …
