HPWH Technology
Are there any residential HPWH’s that utilize R744 as a refrigerant?
Google search says, “yes”, however; it comes up short with a manufacturer or model. Lynx by Watts, has has had commercial units for some time though residential is what I want.
It seems like the perfect application for utilizing a very high pressure refrigerant since it’s mono block in nature.
Does anyone have any information if they exist or what the possible time frame may be before they’re introduced in the U.S.A.?

Hard enough to get heat pump techs that have 1/2 a clue. Now you want Ammonia in the mix?
Like R-290 and 600 limited what can be inside a building b

Who said anything about ammonia? R744, not ammonia, it’s CO2. Breathe.

What refrigerant is used in the VRF systems? Seems like a lot to leak inside the building with those systems.
