Boiler flush
the above boiler does some infloor heating in a garage. The water is really hard. It’s about 4 years old now. Just wondering if these boilers new a flush with a descaler solution like a tankless hot water heater?

There should not be much water being added above what you filled with the first time.
Ideally the system is cleaned and flushed when first installed. With a hydronic cleaner.
Then water meeting this IBC spec should be put into it.
Officially if the water doesn't meet this spec you have no warranty.
You could still run a cleaner and flush. You would want to check you water for at least hardness, TDS and ph.
You can buy a single use filter to fill the boiler with if you water is too hard or high TDS. Here is an Axiom example

thank you for your detailed reply. Just reading through the information and I hope I’m understanding this right. If I got that filter. Could I just cycle the water that’s already in the system through this filter?

The water in the system may have a lot of crud, rust, scale, teflon tape, etc. I would start with whatever potable water you have? City or well?
It depends on how bad the water us. I have seem system water run through a basic cotton micron cartridge filter to get the solid debris out.
If you do run a cleaner it will break loose a lot of gunk in the system. Best to flush it out, start fresh. Water's cheap.
