Draft inducer obsolete: alternative repair strategy
Recently posted about my Buderus power vent replacement. (Jakel-Ametek 117438-03, blower assembly 7121-8998). I have contacted Buderus, SupplyHouse, the Warehouse, Electric motor Warehouse, and Ametek. All were helpful but have no replacement units, nor motors. Looking online, there must be a hundred different draft inducer units from many manufacturers. Surely there must be some replacement motor for this unit.
About twenty years ago, I had a far easier time finding circulator motor parts for a much older hot-water boiler. Must be the zero-inventory approach to business these days!

You did not post a picture of the information on the motor (so big guess below on my part). You posted "blower assembly 7121-8998".
I found this "type U21B".
70-23641-81 Inducer Fan/Motor Assembly #702112903 U21B New,Replacement for FASCO OEM
Pricey $$$
Maybe you can do a motor transplant.
There may be better choices, like on eBay, search for "U21b motor" many there. See if there is anything you like there.

Thanks for all the comments!
That FASCO motor on Amazon is beyond pricey!!! But the alternative is to scrap the Buderus altogether… which may be realistic because these older units have no parts support since Bosch acquired Buderus. (Have already struck out on the manifold B-kit)
