Viessmann A2WHP installation part 3
Finally all the piping is done, pressure holding. I used a bunch of old, recycled fittings. That can be frustrating.
Buffer has two curved low loss header pipes. Lochinvar 55 Knight boiler feeds on the 1". Radiant pulls from the 3/4. HX separates glycol in the HP from the buffer tank and system piping.
Boiler supply comes out through air separator to a 3 way zone valve. Normal operation flows to buffer tank. A dual coil solar tank will be is supplied from the other port of the 3 way ZV on dhw priority call.
The radiant is also a 3 way zone valve. In heating season the Alpha runs 24/7. When the Ecobee stat calls for shop heat, the valve opens to the buffer tank.
Piping will be supported after insulation is installed.
Some of the tools I used to bend the copper and T-Drill the curved header pipes. they are probably older than some of the people on this list😉
On to the wiring.

Built not bought bends, vintage tools, and one of the first Air to Water Heat Pumps on the wall.
An awesome combination of old school and new school.
