necessary to neutralize condensate?

i have all PVC drain lines. will the acidic condensate damage these pipes if not neutralized ? or is that only for metal drain pipes?

Or an older waste water pipe system or septic system with cast iron lines…

i have none of these. i have pvc everywhere in my basement, and a pvc drain line in my yard going out into the street. unsure of what exactly the town has in the street

I probably shouldn't say this — but when it gets to the street it will mix with another … um… stuff and not be a problem. Might check with whoever runs the sewer system, though. They may have a different opinion.
