Tight Squeeze

Dan Foley

Poppy and Nelvis had their hands full trying to get everything to fit in this tight mechanical closet. The proverbial 10 lbs of "stuff" in a 5 lb sack.

This was in a 115 year old brick rowhouse in Adams Morgan, DC.

Good god @Dan Foley ! Everything tucked in a closet? Plus it's neat and serviceable? Have you spared no thought to the hacks in your neighborhood? How will they make a living when you're setting the bar so high? ;)

There's something about a well thought out and clean installation that I can spend hours looking at that appeals to me, well done.

You can have it good, fast or cheap. Pick two

That turned out nice , alot going on there. There used to be a HeatingHelp member that had a shop in Adams Morgan I used to get Gorton vents from him , Ron I believe his name was. There are no shortages of tough mechanical situations in that area from my experience. Nice work.

A Munchkin and a Smart tank were there previously. I do not have any before pics. The Munchkin was still running but the tank was leaking.

Ron is still schooling us from 2000 miles away. Im a Johnny come lately in this industry. He and I talk at least once a day. BTW the shop is still at the same location in Adams Morgan. Great work Mr. Foley!

Looks great! How do you like those zone valves? I've seen a few of the jobs you've posted with the Century valves. Have they held up well?

Aren't those Taco Zone Sentry valves? A lot more installer and service friendly than most other designs. Just squeeze a clip and the power head pops off, the wiring is all in Phoenix connectors so you wire it then plug the connector in, makes it easier and neater to wire and is easy to disconnect and reconnect or swap things when troubleshooting.

Great Job Mr Foley. Missed ya Lately. Sounds like Married life is suiting you well! Those tight Levittown boiler Jobs under the stairs that Ron Jr has done his whole career and me probably 45-50 are great practice for a simple, clean, compact yet serviceable, installation. Outstanding craftsmanship in a shoebox. Now that's Impressive. Mad Dog
