EDR help please

So my stoker bit the dust. I have 4 natural gas steam rads upstairs. I tried my best but can’t come up with the correct sized boiler. I am getting a penco or National as that’s what’s in my budget. These rads are 25 inches high on the four corners but 22 inches by the tube height. The 14 section is 23 inches long let me know if we need anything else measure etc also I can pipe the new boiler right below a union that’s connected to my old stoker thanks in advance ps is it 30% in addition to the edr for the piping down in basement?

    First, once you get the EDR, you add nothing to that, you use that number to compare directly to the manufacturers rating in sq ft of steam.

    To help we would need the measurement of the depth of each radiator to confirm the ratings.

    that said I’d estimate you are around 125-150 based on those pics, which basically means you need the smallest boiler made, and even that will be too big.

    Measure the depth (front to back) and we can tell you exactly.

    Those are "small-tube" radiators. If you have Dan's book "E.D.R.", use the chart for the Burnham Slenderized or Weil-McLain Junior radiators. Ratings were pretty much standardized by the time these were made.

    I would take @KC_Jones guess over any supply houses.
    Get the smallest possible.

    Do they make a 2 section Penco? I know Crown boiler and Weil McLain have 2 section boilers for Hot Water systems. Not sure about steam boilers.

    But you are good to get it ASAP, be it a 2 section boiler or 3 section boiler.

    Good Luck with your project,

    @hankwylerjr , this Pennco model?

    https://penncoboilers.com/sites/default/files/240009892 Pennco 16 Sell Sheet 11-22-21 WEB.pdf

    If so, it's a re-branded Dunkirk. These boilers are VERY finicky when it comes to near-boiler piping. They have 2-1/2" steam outlets, which must not be reduced in size or you'll get wet steam and drastically reduced efficiency.

    Read the manual. If you or your installer have questions, post them here.

    smallest they have is a 3 section penco and yes those are rebranded dunkirk. Unfortunately after a chimney inspection I need a liner but not in budgets this year I don’t hate the power vents but may not have a choice simple install however is there a special kit that is optional with these units or can I either power or direct vent them?
