Hi everyone does outdoor condensing unit model number tell u how many stage cooling?

    Sort of. The outdoor unit has to be multi stage or modulating but the blower and control needs to tell it to run multiple speeds or modulate too.

    A peek into the condenser will give you a hint: multiple compressors of course, but also a line entering the top of a compressor or what looks like a second power connector entering the compressor. I'm sure it's part of the model number, but we sell too many brands for me to always remember the significant character(s).
