There are more durable after-market ignitors that I have had success with. Since I can't stock every OEM ignitor for every heater on the market. These universal HSI ignitors are a great part to have on the truck to make one stop repairs on most heaters.

BUT ... They didn't work on American Standard furnaces. I think the American Standard needed a hotter HSI.
