Why? What problem are you trying to solve?

i was trying to to trouble shoot one of the zones. had to take the thermostat apart to jump the contact. and then i put a jumper between the tw/tr to turn the circ on. i was thinking it would be nice to have easy to use controls that i could disable a thermostat without having to remove the wires.

no real problem to have control at the relay board itself.

I'd just jumper it at the zone controller with an alligator clip test lead for testing

oh, attach the alligator clip to the exposed copper of the cable?

any suggestions to block out the thermostat trip to the zone?

Only Slumlords put switches on thermostats.
How many times do you think that will come in handy? It's like living in Death Valley and owning a snow shovel.

Yup. The only time I ever saw this done was at a rental property.  The landlord had toggle switches added to the zone control panel so he could disable the thermostats if someone owed rent money.
