Replacement for old "U.S.A.V. No. 64" Steam Radiator Air Vent?

Anticipating a like-for-like functional replacement. (Single pipe steam, and it's the room with the thermostat.)
But couldn't find much online except for the obvious meaning of the initials, and less-than-stellar comments on current USAV quality.
Anything special to know - like fast/slow? (For some reason thinking higher numbers may mean faster.)
Also should note, still do have a couple of unused Hoffman 40s on hand.
Thanks.

Try one of the Hoffmans. I honestly have no idea what the capacity of that old vent is, but the 40 is as good a place to start as any.

That would be Gerry Gill's table, and it has a lot of obsolete vents on it... but not that one. I looked.

The newer USAV vents are poor quality. The hoffman 40 is a good choice if all the other radiator vents are similarand sized for the radiator they serve. It might be easier to buy the Maid-O-Mist 5L that comes with 5 orifices so you can dial in what you need.

I've used them for years and never had a problem with the vents reliability.\

Put in the Hoffman 40, and will see how it goes.
Thanks for the info on alternatives.
