Radiant heat - Strange noise in bedroom

We are renting a home with radiant heat and are considering buying the home. The owner is a plumber, and I'm fairly sure it was installed properly (he rebuilt a 1948 in 2006). When we put the heat on in the master bedroom, it gets warm/hot in the middle of one of the walls that abuts a closet. In the closet is a panel (don't see any screws), but there could be pipes in the wall (?). The biggest issue for us is that there is a sound that I can describe as a structural shifting. It is so scary! It sounds like the floors are going to collapse down into the living room. Since we have a lot of boxes and a big mirror stored in the closet and furniture in the bedroom, we thought that maybe that was causing the noise. If so, that would not be good or structurally sound. Has anyone encountered this with radiant heat? Thank you.

It is most likely a copper pipe that is expanding and contracting. If it rubs on wood especially a hole in a framing member that was not drilled out big enough that would certainly creak.

"Structural shift"...though, how big do they be making copper pipes?
