Will an elysator function in a system using  35% Thermal Fluid(ethylene glycol) or does the system have to be deionized water or treated water to function properly system presently has 0.40ppm iron and 0.35ppm copper

    VDI 2035 In a Short version....
    No Glycol..
    Hardness depends on KW per liter VDI 2035 Blatt 1... I translated to btu/gal.
    Non Saline Systems = EC below 100 Micro Siemens for Oxygen levels 0.1mg/l.
    Saline Systems = EC up to 1500 Micro Siemens for Oxygen levels down to 0.02 ml/l.
    PH between 8.2 and 10 which is depending on materials utilized in the system..
    For Aluminium Alloys 8.2 to 8.5 or as per HX recommendations.
    No Chemicals or Additives as per VDI 2035.
    Deionized water only..
    Sacrificial Anodes do not react well when Glycol is involved. :|

    It's best to mix all glycols with DI water, or purchase it pre-blended.
    Ethylene glycol? What type of system? If it is in contact with potable water indirects or heat exchangers PG may be a better choice. Or double walled heat exchangers.
