Will try to explain as best as I can...

New gas baseboard boiler. We do not program the thermostat so temps are constant.

3 Zones. Setting Basement (60) 1st fl (70) 2nd Fl (68)

For some reason there would be a 10 minute period 2-3 times a day (not sure about overnnight) where it would cycle (turn on/off) 3-4 times in those 10 minutes. Time of day is not constant.

Installer is coming for a follow up visit (not for that) so I want to inform him if that is a problem...

The commonly accepted run time would be 10 minutes minimum when it fires. Do you have a modulating boiler, mod con.

The real question is -- what's turning it on and off? If it's controlled by an aquastat, it really shouldn't do that. However, if it's being controlled directly by the zone thermostats, I can see that happening.

Sorry, total noobie. Not sure about the question. It has an aqua stat , thermostats and zone valves.
