we did the header piping in the shop was a one day replacement of the boiler and i may have messed up the drop on the header to the main any thoughts? left it easy enough to drop it in the summer but the building needed heat asap so this was the replacement.  should i drop it lower?

That is the main taking of rom the side of the header? I'm not really keen on that; I'd much rather see that take off at least 45 degrees off the horizontal if not not straight up...

But see how it works. That, after all, is the bottom line.

I only see one issue. The 3" main coming off the header seems like it's pitched up withe the low end toward the header like a counterflow system. If it is pitched up there should be a tee in it with a drip so the condensate doesn't go back in the header.

And yes coming off the side isn't the best but with a drop header is probably fine
