Elbows on Line to Main Vent

I'm in the process of replacing my 78 year-old Gorton 1s with new Gorton 2s, as per the prior recommendation of this board. However, now that I've taken down the sheetrock around the second main vent, it turns out the Gorton 1 is directly underneath a joist and the Gorton 2 won't fit in the space. Can I attach an elbow-coupler-elbow to bring it around the side of the joist and install it there? Or will that ruin something?

    It is actually perferred to have some horizontal pipe before the venting. This protects the vent from water slugs etc.

    Just so that the horizontal is pitched to drain any water back to the main.
    It may take 2 90's to get the slope needed. (swing joints).

    (That existing vent is probably not 78 years old BTW)

    Street 45° (1/2 or 3/4") short nipple and another 45°

    I would use 45s and get the vent up as high as possible
