Hello,
Is the Honeywell R7284U primary running in interrupted mode (used in an oil , forced air system), compatible with the 2721-628G Allanson transformer? I'm replacing a an old Beckett ignitor.
Thanks.
RG

Thanks, I appreciate your response. I was concerned b/c I have a transformer in my furnace and NOT an electronic ignitor.

That transformer may out last the furnace.

With an interrupted primary either one will last nearly forever.

And if your electrodes are in good shape they should never need replacement using interrupted ignition. I like to setup all my oil burners to use interrupted ignition.
