Hi, can someone help. Honeywell VR 8300 gas valve on boiler (burnham boiler) is chattering. Is it something to be concerned about? I know it’s the gas valve because when I pull off the wire from TH or TR the noise stops, I take the wire off it goes away. Is it a safety issue? Do I need to change it? Thanks

How do you know it's not the ignition control causing it?Bob Boan

It’s a standing pilot type boiler0

Chattering is usually a bad connection or low voltage. It also could be the gas valve or whatever controls it.
Get it fixed or something will fail0 -
Ok thank you.0
