Condensate pump discharge tubing?

So I ran some clear vinyl tubing like what came with the pump and it turned completely flat. Water still gets through but it’s flat. Has anyone ever tried pex? What do you run? This is a neutralizer / pump combo.
Just a guy running some pipes.

    pex, PVC, Onix rubber hose :)
    Usually that vinyl collapses if there is a negative pressure, or excessive temperature. If it came off the roll round, generally it stays that way.
    PVC is typically what the boiler manufacturers have as a connection point, as you well know.

    There is some sort of medium hard tubing on rolls at the hardware store that isn't pex but is similar in stiffness. That might not be a bad choice.

    If you use pex, buy straight sticks, the coiled pex doesn't like to stay straight.
    And no brass or copper fittings of course.

    The "free" coil that comes with the pump is pretty cheesy stuff.
    In any case where the vinyl terminates....sink...stand pipe or floor drain....I put a short piece of 3/8" OD copper in the end.
    This is the acid indicator for me...if the copper is getting thin then there is potential for damage to the cast iron/copper DWV system.....poor man's acid test. ;)
