Here is a graph covering the data back to 1895.
When we sell our customers comfort systems, need to consider the means and cost of cooling also.

Closely watching how HP sales are moving in Europe and other heat/ cool regions. My German colleagues shared this current data.
Currently Norway has the highest density. Germany shows 11.5% of heat generators sold now are heat pumps, around 86,000 last year A2WHP is 77% of that. 46% of new building construction are asking for heat pumps instead of fossil fuel boilers.
Germans and Europeans are ready to give up the traditional fan and wet towel approach as summers continue to sizzle. Speed limits on the autobahn reduced due to pavement buckling from the heat. That must really tweak the BMW and MB drivers :)

Make sense all the major boiler companies are adding or have HP offerings now.

Viessmann has quite a lot of HP info on the UK site, for example, case studies on the Vitocal product. Got to imagine they are looking at the US market.
