Hello, our Burnham boiler has been making a fly wheel/ squeaking type noise when starting up and after shutting down for about a month and its load. We had the oil company come out to look at it and they cannot figure it out. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Bad bearing on the motor or blower or pump, or a problem in the pump. Most likely. It could be the blower rubbing on something, but that would be more an intermittent (but very frequent scrunch type noise. (How's that for a precise description? Sigh...)Br. Jamie, osb

Probably bad/failing/loose burner blower wheel, bad/failing pump coupling, or pump starting to bind.
They looked at it, did they do anything else?
