in Domestic Hot Water
any difference switching supply return on a indirect HWH. What problems could it cause?

    You want storage tank stratification for best and most efficient use. You also get more hot water with less energy.

    It would depend on the water heater.
    A coil type indirect if they were reversed may have some/ little performance issues. At one point HTP on their Contender WH had the install diagram listed one way and the photo in the same book listed the opposite.
    With a tank in tank set up there may be more of an issue.
    Why do you ask? Was your indirect piped "backwards"
