What size breaker do I need for a Rheem air handler model number 17J11NFH ?

    "Air handler" to me implies it could have electric heat strips in it.
    Could be none or several.

    2P, 15 amp breaker if NO electric heat kit is used.

    Read the unit name plate the information is on there

    Breaker at the service panel or on the air handler itself? ON the air handler they are usually 30 or 60A depending if they have a heat kit and the size.

    At the service panel, the breaker is determined by wire size or the Maximum Circuit Protection required by the electrical label on the air handler... which ever is smaller.

    Equipment is supposed to be marked on the name plate MCA or minimum circuit amps determines the wire size. MOCP maximum over current protective device is your breaker or fuse size.
