Found this old 10 inch diameter copper
float from a condensate receiver in the scrap bin, and put it in the flower bed.
Obviously someone had acidic condensate!—NBC

    I have always been interested in kinetic art, and that structure is like a Calder mobile, but operating in the vertical plane.

    I love repurposing things. I look at everything I’m about to throw away for it’s potential as something it wasn’t intended for. I upgraded my office furniture recently and my old desk hutch had this cool glass door. I saw it as a picture frame and used it for my dad who died recently. I walk by it every day and say “Hey Pops”. 😊

    NBC: Beautiful backyard! Is that a dogwood flowering in the back?

    These are parts of heat exchanger we took out of a boiler a few years ago. They go all the way around the fence.



    And this is an old flue we took out of my house when I converted to radiant. It's waiting for me to be inspired.

    Here's some repurposed flashing on a lightening rod. I asked myself, If Dr. Seuss were to draw a hummingbird, what would it look like? This hummer is six feel long. Wonder who's faster, my hummer or Bob's rocket??? :D

    Hi @hot_rod , Actually, that was just the color created by silver soldering. I'm not that much of an artist. The hummer does have a glass eye, which is fun when the light is right. B)
