Removing the wiring from the vent damper

In my last post I set my vent to "service" from "normal" to bypass the vent. I am wondering if anyone knows if I can remove the wiring on the aquastat that goes up to to the vent. The boiler is a Slantfin GG 100. Thanks

What do you think?
And you should’ve posted this with your other post.steve0 -
What model damper do you have? If it's a Field or Effikal, you can just replace the motor. All Steamed Up, Inc.

You do not want to disconnect the harness unless you remove the damper from the vent pipe for safety reasons ...
I have enough experience to know , that I dont know it all0 -
you will also need a 6 pin plug with the proper pin terminals jumped to complete the internal limit circuit in the aquastat
