Direct vent

Installing a condensing tankless water heater and I am direct venting out the side of the house... I know code for pipe terminations is that vent and air intake pipe must be minimum 3’ from an inside corner. Does this apply to a chimney as well? I was planning on terminating about 2ft from a chimney that bumps off the house approximately 18” or so but will have to rethink my plan if this will cause an issue.

That's an inside corner, and the code applies.

agree with @Jamie Hall . I think most would consider that a inside corner

If you know what make and model heater you're getting, download the I&O manual and it will tell you exactly what their parameters are for combustion air and venting.

Code accordance will be highlighted. But always check codes for your area as well.

Some manuals even have cool bombs or dead guy icons to emphasize the dangerous stuff.
