Bell and Gossett Pump High glycol seal requirements

The local parts house quoted to me a high glycol seal kit to build into a pump bearing assembly I shall be replacing. The glycol concentration in the system is approximately 30%. Should I need this quality seal? I'd appreciate others thoughts.

I’d call and ask B&G what they think.

Why 30% that’s around 0* freeze protection. If this is a chiller fine boiler way too much.

The high concentration of glycol may be due to the fact the pipes exit the building to serve air handling equipment on the roof.

I called B&G. 30% and higher concentrations are advised to use the high glycol seal.
    Thank you
