Suggestions on Insulating near boiler pipes

Options
The near boiler pipes are not currently insulated. I’m looking for advice on how close to the boiler the insulation show be applied and type of insulation to use.

Fiberglass 1" is the popular favorite around here.

This place is good. They have all these fittings that can go over elbows and tees. Some people insulate right up to the boiler and that seems fine.

There's no reason not to insulate right to the boiler.
