Taco ZVC406-EXP & Smart Thermostats

Looking to install wifi thermostats on my older Taco zone control panel and need to know where to locate my Common wires. I attached a pic showing where I believe they should go...

    Yes you can get your Common at that C terminal.

    The R & C should be on the same transformer. Maybe this diagram will help you. It came to me from the engineers at Nest.

    No I'm more confused...I thought common wire was the negative lead....do I need to jump the R & C wires in the thermostat?
  • You will fry your transformer if you add that jumper.
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

    Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab
