I'm new here, I've picked up an old Buderus heater that I would like some info on. I know nothing about it, hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. I think it looks neat and would like to try my hand at restoring it.

    That's a beauty! I do that stuff all the time. For something like that, I'd clean it really good first, then use Rustoleum spray metal primer, then Rustoleum spray paint. For the raised lettering, numbers, and detail; I use Merkel paint markers. They make you look like a professional artist.

    That's awesome, and would look great on my covered patio. Please transfer this thread to Buy, Sell, Barter.

    Can you tell me more about the Merkel product?
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

    Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

    @OP VERY IMPORTANT!
    You can't rehab that boiler, it has old metal in it. Let me come over there and take that off your hands ;)

    Very nice find. I wish you lots of luck. It actually looks like it's in remarkable good shape. Wish I knew some info about it.
    Do you plan on actually using it again or just making it pretty?

    @Alan (California Radiant) Forbes I misspelled the name. You can get them on Amazon and maybe Home Depot.

    Steve I'm going to try my hand at restoring it, since it is a parlour stove I think I may do it in a nice green with gold lettering. I will put it in the game room just for display.
