I am trying to substitute 17' of baseboard with a Pensotti flat panel radiator. Just not sure how to do this without upsetting the balance of split loop system shown in the enclosed diagram.. Any suggestions, thoughts, would be helpful.

What are your connection sizes for the panel rad?

Assuming what you have now (piping and fin tube) is all 3/4" copper?

You may be able to do a venturi T to the new rad.

!/2" connection for the radiator, 3/4" fin tube. Penscotti offers a bypass valve, which can be adjusted.

typically no more than 3 panel rads in series, with those bypass H valves Unless is upsize the rads on the tail end of a larger series You can calculate temperature drop thru a series of emitters
Splitting the loop would avoid an excessive delta

Because it would be the first emitter in the series, what would happen if it was piped direct? I am not sure how to figure pressure drop for the unit, so there in lies my confusion.
