    "Pumps are made in many ways, and defined as rope, diaphragm, centrifugal, rotary, oscillating, cylinder."

    Does anyone have an idea what a "rope pump" is? If I can find a copy of this book, hopefully it will have the answer.

    I am superised that someone with your name never herd of a rope pump. It's a rope and a bucket to "pump" the water out of a well. LOL

    I would have rather though a rope pump another name for a chain pump.

    Oh, I see. Too low tech for me. I understand now.

    I was thinking of something in terms of a rotary or reciprocating device designed to move a fluid.
